Not really my type of music but I shot this concert with an open mind. Kittie, Coolio, Kottonmouth Kings and ICP played along with wrestling and the spraying of the Faygo....yuck. Here are some shots.

Queens of the Stone Age

Queens of the Stone Age rocking the Beaumont in Kansas City supporting their re-released self titled album. It was my first time seeing Josh Homme up close. I had seen Dean Fertita play with The Dead Weather and Joey Castillo/Micheal Shuman play with The Eagles of Death Metal. It was cool to hear the first album in its full glory.

The Hold Steady

The Hold Steady --performing their "Heaven is Whenever Tour" at The Midland Theater on October 28th in Kansas City, MO. Craig Finn puts on a spastic story telling American rock n roll show. If you have seen them live you know what to expect, a first class show.

The Devil Wears Prada

Van's Warped Tour 2011 in Kansas City, in sweltering 105 degree heat. The annual Warped Tour came back to town, as usual I braved the elements to try and get some quality shots. Whats to say, you walk around go stage to stage and listen to bands. Some are better than others. I like going, just wish it was in October. Here is a little photo essay.

Social Distortion still rocking it hard after all these years. Mike Ness is still strumming and sneering playing a mixture of old punk rock. Social D are always on tour it seems, yet they never disappoint.
