It was my second time shooting The Bravery in 2009. This time they had just released their new album "Stir The Blood" just a couple of days prior to this show. Singer Sam Endicott and the band always put on a good show and play with a high intensity.
The Cranberries at The Midland Theater on their reunion tour. Much like The Pogues that I shot earlier, another Irish band recently reformed for a US tour. Dolores O'Riordon looked lean and sounded great. They played all their best known 90's songs such as, Zombie, Linger, Salvation among some of her solo songs.
Some shots of Snoop Dogg during his "Wonderland" concert at The Voodoo Lounge. Method Man and Redman opened up. The crowd was insane crazy, Method and Red really got everyone going then Snoop came on...an hour and ten minutes later. His boys were spraying champagne all over so I got out of the front pretty quick.
Method Man smoking it up.
Talking to a fan in the balcony after ice was thrown at them.
I took these on November 4, 2009. It was my second time shooting Paramore in 2009. They headlined this concert at the Uptown theater. Previously they were openers for No Doubt in July.
Yes I know....very late. Halloween in January? Why not. I shot a little photo essay for The Pitch on Halloween at Kansas City's Power and Light District. Company Of Thieves dressed up as The Wizard Of Oz and played to the large crowd.
The Pogues in a rare visit to KC, their first I think in the Pogues 2009 reunion played at The Midland Theater. Shane MacGowan is great and toothless! I couldn't understand a single word he said all night and I saw him fall face down after tripping on a cable. He is quite a character, the band sounded pretty good.
I took these a few months ago but I'm late in posting newer photography on this blog. The Dandys were nice enough to do some portraits along with letting me shoot their entire show. One of the nicest bands I've worked with. Zia said she liked the photos and used one for her business card.
I am first and foremost a music fan and also a music photographer. I cover concerts of bands I like and wish to promote. If any magazine or sites would like to hire me, please get in touch. This blog is just to highlight my photography...Please don't steal my photos, I work very hard taking them. I'm not much of a writer, so have a look around at mostly a visual blog.
