I forgot to post a few Santogold photos I took from last months concert in Lawrence at Liberty Hall.

David Byrne Concert Photos

David Byrne performed at the Uptown last Sunday to a polite reserve seated audience. I will have to say, it was probably the most peaceful show I have been to ever. No hassles from security or manager or crazy ass fans elbowing me in the noggin. The sound was crystal clear and David looked and sounded great.

Barack Obama Rally In Kansas City

Barack Obama held a rally in Kansas City Missouri on October 18th 2008. It was the second time in two months I was able to photograph him. Earlier in the day he spoke to an estimated crowd of 100,000 people in St.Louis. He arrived to the stage in KC at about 6:30pm and spoke to a reported 75,000 people at the Liberty Memorial in perfect fall weather. It was an awesome spectacle, people of all races and ages gathered together to say, "Yes we can!" Change is needed in the country for sure, hopefully he will be elected and be successful.

NBA Pre season basketball

I tried my hand at sports photography for the first time. Shooting NBA basketball is harder than concerts...the light, the action and speed is completely different. I wanted to get a good look at 2007 first round pick Greg Oden of the Portland Trailblazers. He was injured all of last year so these first few games were some of his first action. Here are a few photos of the exhibition game in Kansas City between the Atlanta Hawks and Portland Trailblazers.

Here are some photos from the opening night of Tina Turner's new tour. She looks great for her age, looks twenty years younger for sure. She can sing and move.

Beck and MGMT Photos

Here are a few photos from the Beck and Mgmt concert at The Uptown Theatre.
The place was packed full for Beck. I had heard that MGMT didn't sound good live, but I thought they were great.

A few concert photos to post. First up was Robert Plant and Alison Krauss at Starlight Theatre.

Up next was Stars at The Granada in Lawrence, who put on a great show and had very nice lighting. It as just kind of a mellow show that made you feel relaxed watching.

The same night Stars were playing, The Dandy Warhols were playing about thirty minutes later down the street at Liberty Hall. So ran down the street with all my gear in hand and went to the front of the stage right in time. The show sounded great and the crowd were into it but there were hardly any lights and my shots were pretty dark.
